The
AHSA
Board
of
Directors
has
announced
the
Ewe
Lamb
Project
for
2001.
The
purpose
of
the
program
is
to
promote Hampshires
as
a
youth
project.
Specifically,
to
introduce
youth
to
the
joys
of
raising
Hampshire
sheep.
AHSA
members
will
be
donating
8
ewe
lambs
to
deserving
youth
across
the
country.
Deadline
for
the
applications
to
be
submitted
to
the
AHSA
office
is
April
1.
Winners
of
the
ewe
lambs
will
be
announced
June
1
and
the
ewe
lambs
will
be
selected
by
the
winners
at
the
National
Hampshire
Sale
held
in
conjunction
with
the
Midwest
Stud
Ram
Sale
in
Sedalia,
MO.
All
ewe
lambs
will
be
DNA
tested
for
the
spider
syndrome
and
will
be
entered
in
the AHSA
ewe
lamb
futurity.
