Welcome to Woods Texels in
Southern Michigan!
We have been raising Texel sheep
over a decade now and still enjoy their docile temperament, excellent
mothering abilities, and carcass quality. Since 2006, we have added only
British Genetics and have been very pleased with the muscling. The lambs grow
fast on grass and finish out on very little grain. The meat is mild, lean and
flavorful. Our flock is whole flock OPP tested negative, foot rot free, and we
are enrolled in the VSFCP MI57. We take pride in healthy sheep and have kept a
closed flock except for the addition of rams.
