NTSRI Job Opening Available
NTSRI is taking applications for a combined position of Executive Secretary and Treasurer.

This position is very important to the National Tunis Sheep Association in that it provides timely/ accurate information to the NTSRI Board of Directors and it's members.

The applicant should be willing to serve a lengthy term, preparing minutes and financial reports for the organization. This person will be responsible for reporting the information that will serve as the internal memory for the organization. The applicant should have the ability to prepare word documents and excel files, and communicate by email, and travel to

The applicant will be paid a small monthly stipend and will be required to:
Maintain the NTSRI membership database.
 - Send three part database to Web Liaison for publishing to the NTSRI Website monthly.
 - Make email and address updates to the database when email and snail mail communications are returned.
 - Update communications from Associated Registry when needed to NTSRI website.
 - Pay Associated Registry for member services provided to NTSRI.
 - Communicate to the BOD any concerns that arise with AR.

Take minutes at all NTSRI Board and General Membership meetings
 - Attend in person the face to face BOD meetings, one at NAILE and the other at the National Tunis Show and Sale where the BOD members meet.
 - Share the draft minutes with the president and BOD Secretary in a timely fashion for approval; usually 2 to 5 days.
 - Upon approval of the draft minutes, send to NTSRI Web liaison to publish on the NTSRI Website.

Communicate messages to the membership when asked by the BOD, by email or snail mail.
 - Communicate to the NTSRI President or BOD any request for information from NTSRI business partners.

Maintain the NTSRI Bank Accounts and report activity at each NTSRI BOD meeting.

Deposit and Transfer funds between Huntington Bank, Bank of America, and PayPal when needed.

Pay on behalf of NTSRI all approved invoices when presented to the treasurer in a timely fashion.

Tunis Sheep -A Breed Apart

The first, and most striking thing noticed about Tunis sheep is the beautiful red color set on an attractive sheep with long pendulous ears and a calm disposition. These sheep are quickly becoming favorites with everyone who tries this unique breed, from showmen to commercial farmers.

Our Mission

The National Tunis Sheep Registry, Inc. was established to guard and maintain the purity of Tunis sheep; to encourage the breeding of Tunis sheep; to maintain a register of pure-bred Tunis sheep; to issue certificates of registration and transfers; and to perform all other things requisite, necessary and to properly carry out the purposes and objectives of the organization.

The "National Tunis Junior Association Board of Directors" will offer leadership and educational opportunities on a national level. National Tunis  Jr. AssociationSeven Directors and Seven Intern Directors will make up the Jr. Board. The annual meeting will be at The North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) in Louisville Kentucky.
